Maple Syrup Sweethearts...

 Each year the town of Wakarusa holds the Maple Syrup Festival...the kids always love to watch the Parade on Saturday, and have had the chance to be in it for the past 5 years (floats for the Wakarusa Nursery School and the Cub Scouts).  This year, the girls decided they wanted to be in the Maple Syrup Sweetheart Contest which is only open to Kindergartners.  Voting is done by collecting monetary "votes" in jars with each girls picture on them at Interra Credit Union, and Cook's Pizza.  Both Hope and Faith went into the competition out of excitement for riding on the float in the parade, and for the flowers/sash/and Sweetheart Headband they received for competing in the contest.  They had a ton of fun with their friends that competed, and were excited to find out that Bailey (our Upwards Cheerleader helper) was participating in the Queen Competition for 8th graders!
