Hope and Faith had a combined Kindergarten Celebration, which made it easy on us...we didn't have to separate to watch different programs! The girls did great singing the songs and performing the motions, and they each had one line in a poem they had to "memorize". It's hard to believe that their first year of school is almost over!
Saturday
Friday
Chicago's Science and Industry Museum
A whole day in Chicago with the Weatherton side of the family makes for some great memories! Grandma and Grandpa thought it would be fun to take the South Shore train and go to the Science and Industry Museum, the kids couldn't have agreed more! It was the first train ride for all 3 of our kids, and they thoroughly enjoyed it.
Thursday
Maple Syrup Sweethearts...
Each year the town of Wakarusa holds the Maple Syrup Festival...the kids always love to watch the Parade on Saturday, and have had the chance to be in it for the past 5 years (floats for the Wakarusa Nursery School and the Cub Scouts). This year, the girls decided they wanted to be in the Maple Syrup Sweetheart Contest which is only open to Kindergartners. Voting is done by collecting monetary "votes" in jars with each girls picture on them at Interra Credit Union, and Cook's Pizza. Both Hope and Faith went into the competition out of excitement for riding on the float in the parade, and for the flowers/sash/and Sweetheart Headband they received for competing in the contest. They had a ton of fun with their friends that competed, and were excited to find out that Bailey (our Upwards Cheerleader helper) was participating in the Queen Competition for 8th graders!

Saturday
Hope and Faith's 6th Birthday
6 years old...wow! It seems like just yesterday we were color coordinating everything (from hair bows to nail polish) to make sure we didn't mix them up when we got home from the hostpital!
Thursday
Noah's 9th Birthday

Where has the time went? I keep reminding myself that he will be entering 4th grade next year...it just cannot be possible! What birthday post would be complete without a baby picture, or two?
Noah invited 4 friends over for his birthday, 2 from school (Sean and Braden), and 2 from church (Corbin and Ethan). They spent a few hours running around the gym at Parkside, and then back to our house for Kentucky Fried Chicken with cupcakes and ice cream.
Noah enjoyed many gifts this year from family and Friends!
His birthday seemed to be never ending...a celebration in his 3rd grade class, and a family outing with Grandma and Grandpa Weatherton to Hacienda!
